Read on to get the tea spilling on Ben Affleck as Batman may be coming to an end…

Ben Affleck + Drinking Addiction + Rehab = New Batman ActorCelebNMovies247.com has received word that Ben Affleck as The Batman in the DC Universe may be handed to another actor.

While Ben Affleck is currently in rehab fighting his demons with alcohol addiction Warner Bros. is debating on keeping him as The Batman.

CelebNMovies247.com has heard that it may just be too expensive and risky for Warner Bros. to pay insurance costs for Ben Affleck.

Word is, Ben Affleck’s role in the DC Cinematic Universe could be under threat.

Basically, the cost of insurance following the completion of his latest stint in rehab could be too high for the studios to continue with Ben as Batman.
Affleck is currently in the middle of his second rehabilitation stretch in 2018.

The 46-year-old actor to continue as the Caped Crusader in forthcoming DCU projects may be a wrap.

Bottom line is that insurers on those projects will want a bigger amount of the films’ budgets in escrow as deductible before they sign off.

Ho does this look for Affleck?

Not good at all.

A representative for a completion bond company told The Wrap:

More than likely the studio will replace him because the insurance costs are going to go through the roof. He would be bondable, but the deductible would be really high, probably the budget of the film.

To get a clear picture, the cost of insuring the upcoming Justice League sequel could be as high as $150 million on a budget of $300 million. That is only if the insurers go easy and demand less.

Last year Warner Bros. expressed support for Affleck during his previous period in rehab, stating:

Ben is our Batman. We love him as Batman. We want to keep him in the cowl as long as we can.

We are NOT sure if they feel the same these days.

To be honest, at this point losing Affleck at the Bat will RUIN the DCU – we enjoyed him in Justice League.
