Finding that perfect wave has NEVER been this terrifying, watch the new trailer for The Shallows from Sony Pictures on the flip…
You never know when there is a hungry shark underneath just looking for its next meal, and of course you don’t want to be shark bait. Going out like that is just horrific!
In the now movie, “The Shallows”, Blake Lively comes face to face with a great white and all the shark has on its mind is FOOD no matter how much she screams for help!
With shark movies like Meg on the horizon and a year of superhero movies battling it out for number one in the box office, “The Shallows” will NEED a strong performance by Blake Lively. The script by Anthony Jaswinski landed him on the Black List in 2014, and had Louis Leterrier circling to direct at one point. At the time, the project was described as “a cross between 127 Hours meets Jaws, with a touch of Gravity thrown in for good measure”… which is more or less exactly what this trailer looks like.
Instead of heading into deep waters to find this killer, the movie suggests that sharks are more likely in the shallow waters.
If you think about it, The Shallows is on point in that respect, because most shark attacks are on the coastal shores because great whites come in looking for food to feed their babies. The months most shark attacks occur are August, September and October, because its the season of breeding. Sharks are feeding their young and teaching them how to prey for food.
This is why staying out of the water during these months are smart. Vacation or NOT, aheed to the warnings and listen to the old timers, they do know a few things that needs to be carried on in life.
The Shallows opens later this summer, but firs here’s the plot summary:
In the taut thriller The Shallows, Nancy (Blake Lively) is surfing alone on a secluded beach when she is attacked by a great white shark and stranded just a short distance from shore. Though she is only 200 yards from her survival, getting there proves the ultimate contest of wills. It’s Jaws for a new generation.
