First Look: Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day 2U Trailer

Universal Pictures has released Blumhouse’s Happy Death Day 2U trailer, the sequel to the 2017 slasher hit.

We have to say, Blumhouse has done it again with a horror movie that has that right mix of comedy and horror to make it a hit with Happy Death Day.

These movies have great potential for turning into a franchise with more to follow after Happy Death Day 2U. Read on and watch the new trailer because its happening all over again!!!

So, says “Thank you, Christopher Landon, for making a movie that has the scare, the horror and the comedy to make it a true classic of the genre.”

In 2017, writer Scott Lobdell blew us all away with Happy Death Day, a film a college student named Tree Gelbman (Jessica Rothe) who must relive the day of her murder over and over again, in a loop that will end only when she discovers her killer’s identity.

The horror-com is best described as the Ground Hog Day horror film. Blumhouse new the movie was a success so they enlisted director Christopher Landon to expand on the idea and bring it back again. Happy Death Day made $122.6 million USD compared to its predisessors Scream films like Scream 4 which made $97.1 million and Scream 2 which pulled in $172.4 million. the firsrt Scream racked in $173 million in 1996.

We can thank late great Wes Craven for mastering this genre and the writers who followed his vision.
