Get more details on the flip about Bryan Singer and the X-Men Heading to Outer Space on the flip…
According to mastermind, Bryan Singer, heading to the deep dark untapped regions of outer space is the next steps for the X-Men evolution. This also indicates that he may not be as done with the franchise as rumors suggested.
First, Singer explains the seemingly arbitrary decision to set the three most recent X-Men films in consecutive decades (“It’s a nice way for the audience to kind of keep track of the timeline, and it’s fun to play in these different eras”).
And the Bryan Singer went there and said this:
“We’ve also introduced the tenants of time travel, which already exists in the comic book. Also I imagine – and this is the first time I’ve actually answered the question this way – but another thing that’s been introduced in the comics is a big alien, interstellar tenant within the X-Men universe that hasn’t been explored. And to me, that might be kind of fun because I’m a huge Star Wars and Star Trek fan, and exploring the X-Men universe and being able to utilize that would be exciting, visually. “
In other words, Bryan Singer wants to take the X-Men to outer space. And based on what he’s saying above (combined with a few moments from X-Men: Apocalypse that you may not want spoiled for you), it sounds like we’re headed for Dark Phoenix territory.
No matter what, as long as Bryan Singer is attached to the X-Men films then we know the franchise is in good hands and won’t be a disaster like Josh Trank’s Fantastic Four.
What do you think about the X-Men heading to outer space? Cool or lame?
