Once again a group of friends are subjected to painful, disgusting and bloody deaths just in time for Valentine’s Day…
In case you were feel deprived of some blood and gore the Eli Roth story of tanted water infecting college students and having them die from some painful deaths is heading back to the big screen and on Digital HD February 12th.
Nothing says “I Love you” like Eli Roth’s Cabin Fever. IFC Midnight is behind the new Cabin Fever, of course, and by the looks of the trailer the movie looks to be a word-for-word remake.
Here is the synopsis:
The story is familiar: fresh out of college, a group of five friends retreat to a remote cabin in the woods for one last week of partying—only to become snacks for a gruesome, flesh-eating virus. What’s surprising are the ingenious new deaths, which offer a fresh spin on a horror-comedy milestone.
You’ll notice a lot of the greatest horror moments are in this film so its just bloodier and more disgusting. However, the film does introduce automatic weapons, and an insanely aggressive dog that’s clearly been infected. Overall, it will be interesting to see if the film was enhanced or ruined.
Here’s the trailer for Cabin Fever:
The redo of Eli Roth’s 2002 film of the same name stars Gage Golightly, Matthew Daddario, Samuel Davis, Nadine Crocker, and Dustin Ingram.
Roth said he was “blown away” by the remake, so you know its going to be gross and gory!
The remake of Cabin Fever is produced by Evan Astrowsky, Christopher Lemole and Tim Zajaros. Executive produced by Eli Roth, Cassian Elwes, Jerry Fruchtman, Peter Fruchtman and Ike and Jaclyn Suri.
