Michael B. Jordan may have not been nominated for an Oscar this year, but he is definitely had a breakout year in the box office hit movie “Creed”.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Jordan may star in the remake of the 1968 film “The Thomas Crown Affair” starring Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway. The film was remade back in 1999, and it’s looking like the film will receive an even more modern remake.
In its original 1968 film, The Thomas Crown Affair starred Steve McQueen as a businessman who made off with $2.66 million in an art heist just for mere entertainment and then later gets romantically involved with Faye Dunaway, who plays an insurance investigator who tries to track McQueen down.
As of now the films reboot is still in the early stages as there is no writer and director on board. However, according to insiders, Jordan was the one who pitched the idea to MGM to do another remake of the film. With his performance in Creed, they were definitely up for the project. Although there is no confirmation as of yet, the development of Jordan’s pitch shows his importance in Hollywood.
Jacob Latimore will be join an A-List cast that includes Kate Winslet, Edward Norton and Helen Mirren. Jacob Latimore made noise with his performance in the hit Sundance movie “Sleight,” and he has signed on to join Will Smith in the thought-provoking drama “Collateral Beauty.” The news was announced Friday.

Oscar winner David Frankel is directing the movie, which surrounds Smith with a top-notch ensemble cast including Oscar winners Helen Mirren and Kate Winslet, Oscar nominees Edward Norton and Keira Knightley, as well as Michael Pena and Naomie Harris.
The original screenplay comes from Allan Loeb which follows a successful New York advertising executive (Smith) who experiences a personal tragedy and retreats from life entirely, prompting his colleagues to devise a drastic plan to force him to confront his grief in a surprising and profoundly human way.
Loeb is also producing the film with Bard Dorros (“Triple 9”) and Michael Sugar (“Spotlight”) of Anonymous Content, Anthony Bregman (“Foxcatcher”) of Likely Story and Kevin Frakes (“John Wick”) of PalmStar Media.
“Collateral Beauty” is presented by New Line Cinema and Village Roadshow Pictures. It will be distributed by Warner Bros. in the heart of awards season on Dec. 16. 2016. Basically it will be going up against Star Wars Rouge One.
Latimore is best known for co-starring in “The Maze Runner,” though he has also appeared in “Ride Along” and “Black Nativity.” He delivers an impressive performance as a talented street magician who turns to drug dealing to take care of his little sister in J.D. Dillard’s thriller “Sleight,” which Blumhouse and WWE teamed to acquire out of Sundance’s NEXT section.
Latimore is represented by CAA, Geffen Management Group and attorney Jeremy M. Rosen of Selverne & Co.
Tyler Hoechlin NOT only add more hotness to the movie, but he will be playing author Boyce Fox, who works alongside Dakota Johnson‘s Anastasia Steele in “Fifty Shades Darker.”
Darker is the sequel to “Fifty Shades of Grey.” James Foley is directing the “Fifty Shades” sequels for Universal Pictures.
Michael De Luca and Dana Brunetti are producing with Marcus Viscidi and author E.L. James, whose husband, Niall Leonard, adapted both books.
In the sequel we catch up to Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) as he wrestles with his inner demons, Anastasia must confront the anger and envy of the women who came before her, via The Wrap.
