Yes, in the tradition of Final Destination and the Grim Reaper coming to take you away in a horrific and gruesome manor, the horror movie COUNTDOWN is your new nightmare.

We can thank write/director Justin Dec for coming up with this new horror movie to scare this Halloween.

In COUNTDOWN, when a young nurse downloads an app that claims to predict exactly when a person is going to die, it tells her she only has three days to live. With time ticking away and a mysterious figure haunting her, she must find a way to save her life before time runs out.

The cast is set to be led by Elizabeth Lail, the breakout star of the Lifetime-turned-Netflix psychological thriller series You, and in addition to Peter Facinelli (Supergirl), Talitha Bateman (Annabelle: Creationb), P.J. Byrne (The Wolf of Wall Street) and Anne Winters (13 Reasons Why) will also feature Jordan Calloway (Black Lightning), Tom Segura (Instant Family) and Tichina Arnold (The Last Black Man in San Francisco).

Adam Fogelson, Chairman of STXfilms, said in a statement:

STX has worked closely with Justin and our outstanding team of producing partners to cast some of the most exciting young actors working today for Countdown.

He adds:

Countdown is a completely original premise and a fun and scary script, and I can’t wait to see what this amazing cast does with their roles.
