Paramount Pictures Crawl is a solid antidote for a summer movie.

The what-if factor for Crawl is simply perfection and the movie was a nonstop rollercoaster of screams in the audience. This is that perfect movie to go see with friends or a date.

In the tradition of The Shallows or Don’t Breathe, Crawl brings us back to the other natural killer with teeth like the movie Lake Placid without the quirky comedy that made it a blockbuster.

Crawl delivers another female heroine going up against the odds against multiple alligators as she tries to rescue her father during a hurricane in a rapidly flooding house.

The horror movie directed by Alexandre Aja ( Piranha 3D, The Hills Have Eyes) knows how to make you jump and scream when it comes to horror movies. The movie is only 87 minutes but it keeps you on the edge of your seat. It is filled with gruesome, grimy and brutally disgusting attack scenes.

CRAWL – What the movie is about:

The premise of the movie is Beth (Morfydd Clark – Pride and Prejudice and Zombies) is worried about she and Haley’s dad. There is a major Hurricane heading to his location and she can’t get a hold of him. Beth asks her sister Haley to drive down to see if he is ok. That is when College student Haley (Kaya Scodelario, – The Maze Runner franchise, Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tale No Tales) goes on a search and rescue mission looking for her missing father, Dave during a Hurricane. Her father (Barry Pepper True Grit, The Maze Runner franchise) is trapped under the families home. After she finds her father the rescue mission becomes a fight for survival movie.

Haley and her dad Dave are up against multiple alligators. The movie is an awesome thrill ride of jumps, shock scenes and in your face horror. The movie becomes a Father and daughter fight to get out of the house before they drown or get eaten by alligators.

If you love horror movies, then Crawl is a MUST SEE especially since horror auteur Alexandre Aja knows how to deliver lean, mean horror action.
