Daisy Ridley Weighs In On Rogue One

Star Wars uber-fans melting down over the greatest cape ever to appear in a Star Wars movie and fan theorists, did what they do best, but Daisy Ridley says they’re all wrong!

Yes, Daisy Ridley has gone on record to set the record straight and to cut theorist in their tracks about Rogue One, CelebNMovies247.com has learned.

The big theory surrounding the Rogue One trailer was that Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) might actually be the mother of Rey (Daisy Ridley). Devin explained why this probably wasn’t the case here, but let’s say you’re still not convinced. Well, Daisy Ridley would like to have a word with you.

Daisy Ridley weighs in saying:

“I’m not being funny, you guys, but just because she’s white and got brown hair … it doesn’t mean she’s my mom.”

It would make no sense that Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones) is Rey (Daisy Ridley) mother since Rogue One is set after part 3 and before part 4 where Han  Solo, Princess Lea and Luke Skywalker were introduced. That would make Rey years older that Kylo Ren.

It is more logical that Rey is Luke’s daughter and he left her on the desert planet like Obi One Kanobe did when he hid Luke and Lea from the Empire.

Daisy adds:

“I think the amazing thing about [The Force Awakens] is that Finn and Rey don’t come from anywhere, and they find a place. So to me, it’s funny that people think it’s so important, because I don’t really think it is.”

Though, the Star Wars movies have conditioned us to expect all kinds of familial ties between characters, so it’s somewhat understandable that people would make that leap.

We look forward to the tie in for Jyn Erso and what will come of the character in the future, but for now. we will keep you posted if we hear anything on Rogue One!
