Get all the details on what happening with Deadpool on the flip…
According to T.J. Miller, the merc aka Wade Winston Wilson will have several more movies that could happen, but his character might even get his own spin-off.
“Deadpool is not going anywhere anytime soon.”
“I think there’s probably going to be three more installments, a Weasel spinoff. I’m contractually obliged to do the cameos in other X-Men universe stuff, so there’s plenty more Wade Winston Wilson to come.”
As for a potential Weasel film, the actor revealedthat’s something he’s strongly anticipating:
“I’m excited about the prospect of a Weasel spin-off because he makes this super suit, that’s not great and it’s a superhero in Las Vegas protects casinos.”
“I mean, it just, everything about it is perfect for me…what if the Iron Man suit was sort of budget, like he can’t fly, but he can hover three or four feet.”
One character that fans can likely expect in the sequel is Cable, someone who will have major differences from the leading superhero. Director Tim Miller says the character will make a great foil for Wade Wilson.
Miller told IGN:
“There’s a lot about Cable’s history that I like because he’s so intertwined with the world of X-Men.”
“Why he was put together for Deadpool- other than that [Cable] was in a comic that wasn’t selling well and Deadpool was in a comic that wasn’t selling well so they put them together- it’s the same reason we had Colossus; he’s a straight man. And I think Wade Winston Wilson needs a straight man.”
Deadpool 2 is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2017.
