Flip and get more details on who just signed onboard to write a screenplay for the upcoming Green Lantern Corp…
It’s been a long while since the Ryan Reynold’s Green Lantern film hit the big screen, but now that he succeeded as Deadpool, DC moves forward.
We just got word per Deadline, that Justin Rhodes and everyone’s favorite, David Goyer, have been hired to write a screenplay. this is Goyer’s eighth DC adaptation credit, after the Dark Knight trilogy, Man of Steel, and Batman v Superman. Goyer will also produce alongside Geoff Johns and Jon Berg.
This time around we can expect Warner Bros is making sure that Green Lantern Corp will be NOTHING like the Ryan Reynolds disaster. Even Ryan made fun of how bad the movie was in Deadpool.
What can we expect from Green Lantern Corp? This time, no weird animation, a better script, more grit and better action, since Green Lantern film basically lacked all of that.
The good news is that the film will feature Hal Jordan and John Stewart. Casting is still way off in the future, but actor Sterling K. Brown has already thrown his hat into the ring to play John Stewart.
Let’s not forget Tyrese was gunning for this role when news first surfaced about Green Lantern Corps. Sterling is best known for his role as Christopher Darden, in the TV movie, The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
Green Lantern Corps follows Warner Bros. plan to build a Marvel-style franchise, joining the Justice League spin offs for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Flash.
Green Lantern Corps won’t be seeing the big screen until 2020, so there is some time.
Sterling K. Brown can be seen in the upcoming Black Panther movie.
