Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is only a few months away and the buzz is growing with 81 million views for the official teaser trailer for the Marvel Studios sequel. However, Groot and Rocket Raccoon May Get Solo Film?!?

This according to Vin Diesel, Groot and Rocket Raccoon may be getting a little extra solo shine…

Groot and Rocket Raccoon May Get Solo Film

CelebNMovies247.com has just learned that the GOTG 2 Marvel Studios sequel racked up 81 million views in the first 24 hours making it the second most watched teaser trailer in a 24-hour period.

With the buzz continuing to grow, there is talk outside of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, concerning one of the members of the cosmic crew. xXx: The Return of Xander Cage star, Vin Diesel recently sat down for an interview to talk about the future of Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The scene-stealer Groot may be getting some big green chances. He teased that Groot and Rocket Raccoon may be getting a spin-off. He also hinted that Groot may get a chance to fight David Banner aka The Hulk.

Pretty cool, right?

This all went down while Vin Diesel was promoting xXx: The Return of Xander Cage at Comic Con Experience 2016 in Sao Paolo, Brazil. Roth Cornet from ScreenJunkies had a chance to talk to him about the future of Groot during her interview.

Groot Spin Off Possibilities:

Here is what Diesel had to say when asked about the possibility of a Groot and Rocket Raccoon spin-off ever happening:

“I think if it’s up to James Gunn, you are going to see a Groot/Rocket movie after Infinity Wars. I think that’s highly possible. We shall see.”

And then, in the same breathe this happened. Vin dropped the big tease, revealing:

“I know that, somewhere in the universe, you are going to see Groot and Hulk battle. I know it. You can write it somewhere. You are going to see that poster: Hulk vs. Groot.”

James Gunn on GOTG Spin Off:

Now here is the reality check about seeing Groot fight Hulk. Remember when James Gunn spoke to The Playlist about the rumor of Hulk appearing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2? Take that in consideration, and then see what Gunn said about the possibilities of that happening in GOTG 2.

“It feels like a great relief to finally say this after all the dumb stuff on the Internet. There’s not going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never going to be a Planet Hulk movie, there was never a plan for the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy – I wouldn’t want the Hulk to team up with the Guardians of the Galaxy! And it’s all a bunch of complete bullshit.”

A Planet Hulk story line in GOTG 2 seems far far away, this is why Diesel talking about a spin-off may be the only logical story line. We love Vin’s enthusiasm and hype talk, maybe that is his way of making a possibility a reality. You know, causing buzz to start building so the studio listens to the demand?
