CelebNMovies247.com has the latest happenings with Guardians 2 In Avengers Infinity War + Michael Pena Back in Ant-Man 2 and wait until you hear this.
OK, so it’s gone back and fourth about the Guardians of the Galaxy being a tie in to Avengers: Infinity War. Some sites are saying yes while others are saying noway, NEVER going to happen. Well they are wrong.
Vin Diesel has confirmed that the intergalactic do-gooders will be part of the third “Avengers” movie. Diesel, the star of “Fast & Furious,” portrayed extraterrestrial Groot in 2014’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” alongside Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper.
Of course, a spokeswoman for “Avengers” studio Disney did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Thanks Vin for spoiling the surprise. LOL. No really thanks for leaking the tea on what we thought was going to be a tie in already.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is due in cinemas next May, reuniting the original ensemble cast along with Michael Rooker, Glenn Close and Karen Gillan.
Pom Klementieff joins the cast as alien hero Mantis, along with Kurt Russell, Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone.
When the film wrapped in June, Pratt said:
“This is going to be the greatest spectacle film of all time.”
The first film is one of Marvel’s most successful movies yet, making more than $771m (£540m) at the worldwide box office.
On the flip side, Michael Pena is back for more action in Ant-Man and The Wasp!
Marvel Studios brought Ant-Man to the big screen, and the tiny superhero turned out to be a big hit, changing the pace by being a smaller, more isolated comic book flick. Then, Ant-Man was added to Captain America Civil War and the tiny hero was larger than life. Marvel knew the Ant was a smash, so the film’s success resulted in Marvel quickly changing up their schedule. The sequel called Ant-Man and The Wasp has landed a spot on the calendar in 2018.
Since we’re a couple of years out from the film’s set release, Marvel is making more moves to fill out the cast by bringing back one of the most entertaining parts of the film: Michael Pena.
While it was announced that Michael Pena would star in a horror thriller called The Bringing at Columbia Pictures. The Hollywood Reporter also revealed that the End of Watch star will reprise his role as Scott Lang’s fellow thief and friend Luis. Pena will reprise the role as Scott’s perpetually upbeat and energetic partner in crime. Luis helps drive the film as seen in the final scene in the film about Falcon tracking him down a memorable one.
More on Michael Pena in Ant-Man and The Wasp!
Michael Pena is the first cast member outside of Paul Rudd, and Evangeline Lilly confirmed to return for Ant-Man and The Wasp. Michael Douglas is also expected to come back, but he wasn’t under contract for multiple films at the start, so his return as Hank Pym will need to be negotiated.
Otherwise, we previously learned that Sharon Stone would have a role in Ant-Man and The Wasp. And since she teased it as a “wee part” in the movie, we’re expecting her to show off some shrinking super powers, presumably as Janet Van Dyne, Hank Pym’s wife who is believed to be dead after going subatomic to stop a missile from killing innocent people. There was a hint at her still being alive when Scott Lang goes subatomic in the climax of Ant-Man, so we’re expecting the character to return with Stone in the role. However, a more recent detail added some confusion to her involvement, so we’re waiting for more information.
With production on the sequel slated to begin early next year, we’ll likely be hearing more about the cast returning director Peyton Reed is rounding up in the coming months so stay tuned for more updates.
Ant-Man and The Wasp arrives on July 6, 2018.
