J.J. Abrams’ has a vision and knows how to bring a movie to life from pen and paper to the live action.

Synopsis:

On the eve of D-Day, American paratroopers are dropped behind enemy lines to carry out a mission crucial to the invasion’s success. But as they approach their target, they begin to realize there is more going on in this Nazi-occupied village than a simple military operation. They find themselves fighting against supernatural forces, part of a Nazi experiment.

The cast includes an impressive bench of talent. It is directed by Julius Avery (Son of a Gun) and written by Billy Ray, of Captain Phillips and The Hunger Games fame, and Mark L. Smith (The Revenant). It has also cast young up-and-comer, and son of Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell (22 Jump Street, Black Mirror). He will play one of the two central American paratroopers; the other is being portrayed by Jovan Adepo, who appeared on The Leftovers and really broke out in Denzel Washington’s Fences. The film also has Game of Thrones alumni Pilou Asbæk among its cast. Also starring in the film is Bokeem Woodbine, Iain De Caestecker, Jacob Anderson, Hélène Cardona, John Magaro, Éva Magyar and more…
