See what Jada Pinkett Smith posted on Twitter over the weekend about All Eyez On Me. Read on…
It’s not about who he wanted to be, All Eyez On Me should be about who he was and what he did…true facts not blantant fabrication.
This is why Jada Pinkett Smith UNLEASHED on producer LT Hutton and Benny Boom. We’re thankful that John Singleton and his crazy conception of Tupac NEVER happened, rewriting Tupac’s history is LAME. Fans don’t know, but the sad part is that they will believe the untruths.
Jada Pinkett Smith? made it clear on Friday morning that she is not a fan of the new film, especially when it comes to her relationship with Tupac Shakur. In a series of tweets, Smith called All Eyez on Me. Although she didn’t blame newcomer, Demetrius Shipp Jr. or Kat Graham who plays Smith in the film.
“Forgive me … my relationship to Pac is too precious to me for the scenes in All Eyez On Me to stand as truth.”
The actress adds:
“Pac never read me that poem. I didn’t know that poem existed until it was printed in his book.”
JPS the clarifies:
“Pac never said goodbye to me before leaving for LA. He had to leave abruptly and it wasn’t to pursue his career. I’ve never been to any of Pac’s shows by his request. We never had an argument backstage.”
“The re-imagining of my relationship to Pac has been deeply hurtful.”
Smith then reached out to Shipp Jr. and Graham, telling them the issues she has with the film are “no fault of yours.”
“Thank you for bringing so much heart and spirit to your roles. You both did a beautiful job with what you were given. Thank you both.”
All Eyez on Me has continually been hit by friends of Pac and the people who knew him. They’ve been blasting the film calling it “uniformly uninspired” and “a muddled vision of Tupac.”
Maybe it was a good thing 50 Cent got the rights to BMF. Hopefully someone who keeps things real like F Gary Gray will film The Death Row Records movie, because if Benny Boom twisted truths about 2Pac, we can only image the “re-imagined” things they’ll say about Suge Knight, Snoop Dogg and more. Plus they’ll probably say, “this is who Suge and Snoop wanted to be.” #PoorEXcuse
