Find out more details on Jared Leto playing Lestat on the flip…
We hope that this time around, when the studio tackles the Anne Rice masterpiece novel that they push the envelope on the sexuality issues of bisexuality that they brushed over in the orignal film with Tom Cruise. Cruise and Pitt were extrodinary in Interview with the Vampire, but if they continue to cast talent like Leto, then the new Interview with the Vampire remake has hope.
Can you just see Jared Leto playing Lestat? Epic right?
The bloodsucking role was originally made famous by Tom Cruise, and with a new version on the cards from writer/director Josh Boone, it seems the Oscar-winner is in the frame. Boone is adapting Anne Rice’s original novels Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Chronicles into a new movie, sharing the script’s front page last week.
We hope that Josh Boone doesn’t ruin or take the integrity of Interview with the Vampire and The Vampire Chronicles like Michael Rymer disasterous Queen of the Dammed the enihilated Anne Rice’s novels. The culprit was Scott Abbott who wrote the screenplay, but the blame was on Rymer, since he admitted to not reading the books to fully understand the world Rice created.
We hope Boone is not only a fan, but a director with vision who knows how to pick up a book and read it first.
Leto took to Twitter, writing (photo above):
“Lestat – there can only be one.”
