Hotel Artemis Synopsis:

‘Hotel Artemis’ stars Jodie as a character known as The Nurse, who is embarking on a mission to take care of the city’s criminals in a law-breakers-only hospital.

The movie is directed and written by Drew Pearce, who made his directorial debut on the feature. Pearce explains how Hotel Artemis came about:

It was a kernel of an idea that I had seven years ago while drinking tea in the garden. To see it come to this, well, it really has been an amazing journey.

Over the weekend, Jodie proudly took to Instagram to talk about another female director, Pamela B. Green:

How cool is it that our female filmmaker every Friday was the chosen one to tell the story of the first female filmmaker ever? How cool is it that they share the same birth name and speak the same language? Be Natural: The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché, a documentary on the first female filmmaker ever and narrated by Jodie Foster, premiered last Friday in Cannes as part of the Cannes Classics section. I’m happy this film was finally presented after so many years of hard work and at such an important festival. Congratulations to everyone involved! ? Here is Jodie pictured with director Pamela B.
