The Justice League movie run-time is EPIC proportions….
This is the follow-up to Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice which will introduce three new superheroes and apparently it is staying that way.
We are excited! We hope the studio doesn’t edit this down for the upcoming November release. If you checkout IMDB, Justice League’s run-time listed at two hours and 50 minutes. Yes, that is 170 minutes of Batman, Wonder Woman, Cyborg, The Flash, Aquaman. Don’t forget that we might see a few minutes of Superman (and maybe Green Lantern) fighting Para-demons. Have you seen the new Justice League trailer?
This doesn’t come as a surprise, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice was 151 minutes, but the extended edition of Dawn of Justice was nearly three-hours in length and many fans considered that to be much better than the theatrical version. We agree 1000%! The extended version was so much better. The theatrical release was lackluster, which had many critics dogging it. The same goes for Suicide Squad, The added footage made that film so much better as well. It sounds like Warner Bros. finally got smart and decided NOT to cut out a bunch of the movie that Zack Snyder feels is necessary. Zack knows what he is doing and he knows what fans are looking for. Warner Bros. destroyed Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. They redeemed themselves with the extended Blu-Ray/DVD release.
Zack Snyder has a history of going long, but he’s always right on the necessary needs of a film, like Watchmen and Sucker Punch. Warner Bros. NEEDS to stop worrying about how many times a movie can been seen in a single day at the theater and worry about what fans want. If fans love it, that won’t matter because they will flood theaters to see it. The Lord of the Rings films were all long and fans came in hurds to see the movie at theaters.
“Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash, it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.”
We are still eight months before the movie hits theaters, so a lot can change, but we hope they don’t chop the film down and ruin it.
The cast for The Justice League includes Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, and J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League fights for justice in Theaters on November 17, 2017.
