Lucasfilm Has 9 Star Wars Movies in DevelopmentCelebNMovies247.com has the latest on Lucasfilm having 9 Star Wars movies in development including Rian Johnson’s new trilogy as well as D.B. Weiss and David Benioff’s projects.

According to reports, one of the Star Wars movies that are not being considered by Lucasfilm is a Yoda movie, according to a new tweet from All-Star Comic-Con who reportedly spoke with Tom Kane.

Two other movies that have been highly anticipated films by fans are the Obi-Wan Kenobi movie as well as a Boba Fett movie which are currently in development.

There were reports that a second Solo movie was being planned along with a possible Lando movie, but those thoughts may have been put on hold after Solo tanked at the box office.

As it stands if Tom Kane’s words are true and Lucasfilm does change things up, Rian Johnson’s trilogy could account for 3 films as well as D.B. Weiss and David Benioff’s project, which could also account for 3 more films, bringing the total to 6. If you add Yoda, Obie-Wan Kenobi and Boba Fett movies then there is your 9 movies.

That also leaves no room for a Solo 2, but we are hoping because Solo was awesome and fans of the Star Wars Universe NEED to know that.

For the record, we are hearing there’s some serious mileage in the spinoff taking place in between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Specifically, let’s see the story of how Boba Fett got the freshly carbonated (carbonized?) Han Solo to Jabba the Hutt, fending off other bounty hunters such as Bossk and Dengar in the process.

Disney and Lucasfilm will spend the next handful of years fully exploring the Star Wars universe and it’s exciting to think about where the franchise will go on after the Skywalker franchise comes to an epic finale in 2019.
