CelebNMovies247.com reports that Michael Bay is working on a pandemic thriller which will be filming during the Coronavirus pandemic lock-down.

Producer/director/pyrotechnics enthusiast Michael Bay thinks, as he’s gearing up to make a new film titled Songbird.

Here is what we’ve learned via Deadline:

Michael Bay is set to produce the indie movie Songbird, a pandemic thriller that will be shoot during the actual pandemic in just five weeks.

Adam Mason (Into the Dark) will direct from a script he co-wrote with Simon Boyes, and former Paramount executive Adam Goodman will produce via his Invisible Narratives banner alongside Bay. Eben Davidson will also produce for Invisible Narratives, which is producing with Catchlight Studios.

The film, set in the near future of two years from now, sees the coronavirus mutating after several waves of lock-downs and rollbacks have turned the crisis into a much more complicated matter. So if you’re one of those people who like to watch movies like Outbreak and Contagion in the middle of the current pandemic, it looks like you’re in luck.

Production is slated to start within five weeks in Los Angeles despite the lock*down. This means Michael Bay-produced project could be the first movie to film in Los Angeles during a state of lock-down.
