CelebNMovies247.com has the latest poster and trailer for Marvels upcoming X-Men spinoff The New Mutants, which will be more gritty and dark film introducing all brand new characters in a unique way.
The self-professed Stephen King superfan Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) directed The New Mutants and co-wrote the script with Knate Lee (Kindap).
The trailer is more of a Nightmare on Elm Street style as we are introduced to New Mutants. They are housed in a facility learning that they have mutant abilities. Boone has said the plan is for The New Mutants to kick off a trilogy of horror X-Men movies. The only problem is this, “will Boone be able to do so if Disney buys Fox?
Right now, Mutants is the first of a new genre of horror X-Men films which is intended to be a “rubber-reality supernatural horror movie.” If all goes well then, the follow up films will delve into other aspects of the genre.
The Mutant stars are Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones) as Wolfsbane, Anya Taylor-Joy (Split) as Magik, Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) as Cannonball, Henry Zaga as Sunspot, Blu Hunt as Mirage, and Alice Braga as Dr. Cecilia Reyes.
