‘Power Book II: Ghost’: Cristobal Rumored to Be Returning in Season 3

‘Power Book II: Ghost’: Cristobal Rumored to Be Returning in Season 3!

Few characters survived Power, but Cristobal got lucky. As played by Matthew Cedeño, he was one of many rivals to James “Ghost” St. Patrick, the drug dealer at the center of the series.  Cristobal wound up in prison due to certain events on the show…

CelebnMovies247.com is hearing rumor that Cristobal might appear in the spinoff, Power Book II: Ghost.

Here is what we’ve learned via multiple reports that rumors about a possible Cristobal cameo emerged after a social media user noticed his name on Fandom under the credits for Power Book II: Ghost Season 3.

“Holy sh**, Cristobal is returning in S3 of Book:2 check fandom,” the person wrote on Reddit.

It’s true that his name does appear on the page, but that information is not always accurate. Still, some viewers were convinced he would be featured in the upcoming season. “I was wondering when Riq was going to come again his fathers enemies,” one comment read in part.

In the original series, Cristobal headed the Hermanos Tainos gang. As Fandom notes, he used to work with Ghost before severing that relationship following an investigation into Ghost. He later partnered up with Tommy Egan and then with Dre. But Dre betrayed him after Alicia Jimenez promoted Cristobal over him. He sold them out to Angela Valdes, leading to the FBI storming into their hotel suite and arresting them.

By the time of Power Book II: Ghost, most of those players had been killed, including Ghost. The series was released in September of 2020 and focuses on Ghost’s son, Tariq, as he tries to overcome the loss of his father. When money becomes an issue, Tariq begins to sell drugs like his dad, putting him on a similar collision course. This means there are some familiar faces in the show, including Francis “2-Bit” Johnson.

Some fans believe 2-Bit will be used to bring back Cristobal given that the two have unfinished business, as noted by Express.co.uk. But nothing has been confirmed so far.

The show, however, is on the way:

The good news is, it shouldn’t be too much longer until fans find out. Starz has confirmed the show is “coming soon,” though the exact release date is not yet known.

The series left off in February with a cliffhanger, with Blanca Rodriguez investigating Tariq for Mecca’s death after spotting him on camera footage. Power creator and showrunner Courtney Kemp spoke about what viewers can expect to see from her next season.

“She is definitely going to try to get Tariq,” she told Entertainment Weekly of Rodriguez. “And, as our law enforcement ranks shrink in the show, it is always interesting to have characters that the audience has a long history with. The audience is going to have very strong opinions about what Blanca decides to do in season 3 and how she plans to attack Tariq.”

In the meantime, check out the first two seasons of Power Book II: Ghost now on Starz.
