Ryan Reynolds obviously believed in Deadpool that he came out of pocket for the vigilante Marvel anti-hero…
Rhett Reese continued to say explain:
“It was really a core creative team of us, Ryan, and the director Tim Miller. Fox interestingly wouldn’t pay for us to be on set. Ryan Reynolds paid out of his own money, out of his own pocket.”
The two writers also confirmed they are currently working on the sequel to Deadpool, which will reportedly introduce film fans to the mutant characters Cable and Domino.
Last week, Canadian actress MACkenzie Davis insisted she had yet to be approached to play Domino, despite Internet reports suggesting she had landed the part.
MACkenzie Davis, who will appear in the Blade Runner sequel, told GQ:
“It’s very interesting.”
“People keep sending me print-outs being like, ‘This is so cool!’ And I’m like, ‘Right? I also think it’s cool! But it’s not true!’
“I mean, I’d love to keep the ruse going. It’s sort of cool that people think I’m doing Deadpool. But no! I don’t have any news to share. I wish I did!”
The follow-up to this year’s R-rated action blockbuster, Deadpool 2 is set to hit cinemas in January, 2018.
