Get more details on the upcoming possibility that Simon Kinberg will get Fantastic Four 2 a second chance on the flip…
The first thing we all know that has to happen is take Josh Trank out of the picture on all levels. Then the next step is to give Fantastic Four a X-Men style direction that is “brighter, funner, more optimistic” to rebirth the franchise in the right way. You know like the original Fantastic 4 franchise with Chris Evans (Captain America) and Jessica Alba.
Here is what we just heard from a new interview with Den Of Geek, X-Men and Fantastic Four producer Simon Kinberg.
Simon Kinberg has a number of things to say about Fox’s continued inability to get a successful Fantastic Four franchise off the ground, starting off with this:
“We didn’t make a good movie, and the world voted, and I think they probably voted correctly. And you can’t make a good movie every time out – not everybody does. We actually have a pretty good batting average, all things considered. But I think we made many mistakes when we made that movie – mistakes that we learned from and we wouldn’t repeat.”
“We want to make another Fantastic Four movie.”
America voted and we all agree the reboot SUCKED MAJOR DONKEY D!
That obviously isn’t stopping Kinberg, who claims that Fox is interested in giving the series another go. He says they’re even willing to give it a shot with the same cast Josh Trank used last year – but that, should a Fantastic Four 2 come to pass, it will likely eschew the darkness of Trank’s film.
Can someone get Stan Lee on the line so he can oversee the film this time around and make sure the integrity and family aspect of the film is there. As well as chemistry since the reboot had NONE of it!
A hopeful Kinberg seems to be going forward with a Fantastic Four 2 because he want to redeem himself from the disgraceful reboot that Americans ended up wasting 2 hours of their lives of trash!
“We’ll try to be truer to the essence of the tone of Fantastic Four, which is completely – well, not completely, but largely – distinct from the X-Men, which is brighter, funner, more optimistic tone. I think we tried to make a darker Fantastic Four movie, which seemed like a radical idea but we were kind of messing with the DNA of the actual comic instead of trusting the DNA of the comic.”
We will see if Simon Kinberg has the ability to pull Fantastic Four out of a trash compactor and give the movie and “brighter, funner, more optimistic” feel.
While both he and Fox will be angling to take Fantastic Four 2 in that direction. We will see if there is a young and dumb studio exec that will bite the bullet and greenlight the project for another go around. As for Michael B. Jordan let him movie to Black Panther. and as for the Sue Storm/invisible girl (Kate Mara), remove her she was like watching paint dry. The only two actors that actually worked in Fantastic Four was Reed (Miles Teller) and Thing (Jamie Bell)
Michael B Jordan just joined Black Panther, so it would be best to replace him in Fantastic Four 2.
