Spider-Man: Homecoming 2 Eyeing Jake Gyllenhaal as VillainCelebNMovies247.com has the tea spilling that Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) will team up with the Vulture (Michael Keaton), who returns for another battle with Peter Parker (Tom Holland).

Jake Gyllenhaal will join Holland and director Jon Watt who is also back in the director seat along with Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley who is the pen behind the upcoming script. Let’s not forget our producers Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are on board as well.

At the time, plot details are zero to none, but sources at Marvel and Sony are looking to cast a new male and female lead, with the desire the male lead is an A-List actor. As for the female lead, she will be one of the up and coming 20 something actress. It appears that will be auditioned by execs to avoid any #Metoo situations. #CrossingFingers

If Jake Gyllenhaal takes on the villain role this will be a first for the A-List star. Gyllenhaal is currently working on Dan Gilroy’s horror thriller Velvet Buzzsaw while weighing several projects to fit into his filming schedule for the latter part of 2018. We are hearing from Variety that Gyllenhaal has space since several options were pushed back to 2019 opening space for Spider-Man: Homecoming 2.

He can be seen in the upcoming Wildlife and a western called The Sisters Brothers which opens in late 2018.
