Sylvester Stallone Officially Retires as ROCKY BALBO

With the success of CREED II on may think that Sylvester Stallone would reprise ROCKY BALBO one more time.

Nope, that is NOT the case because today Sylvester Stallone has announced he will never play ROCKY BALBOA again. Read on…

CelebNMovies247.com reports that Hollywood legend Sylvester Stallone, 72, has confirmed he has hung up his boxing gloves permanently.

Sylvester Stallone rose to fame in the late 70s as ROCKY BALBO in the original Rocky movie that landed him an Oscar.

In a photo from the last day of CREED II, Stallone is seen looking off onto the horizon. It’s an interesting photo which captures the theme of the announcement.

Stallone captioned the photo saying:

Oddly this was the last photo taken during the day on CREED2 …Believe it or not, this is an untouched photo… How strange is this…

Stallone reposted a video taken on the last day of shooting CREED II which he writes:

I just want to thank everyone around the whole wide World for taking the Rocky family into their hearts for over 40 years. It’s been my Ultimate privilege to have been able to create and play this meaningful character. Though it breaks my heart, Sadly all things must pass… and end. I love you Kind and generous people, and The most wonderful thing of all is that ROCKY will never die because he lives on in you…

Sylvester made his last appearance as Rocky in the recently-released ‘Creed II’, in which he helps to train Apollo’s son Adonis Johnson to fight against Ivan Drago’s son.

Sly, thank you for such a great franchise with Rocky and we look forward to more Creed movies.
