Titans Live Action Series Finds it Starfire

CelebNMovies247.com has learned via Deadline that the Titans series comes to us from Greg Berlanti, Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns and Sarah Schecter for Warner Bros. TV.

Anna Diop (Starfire) will join newcomer Teagan Croft was recently cast as the character of Raven. The Titans live action series will premiere in 2018 as part of the upcoming DC digital service.

Here is the outline for Titans Live Action Series:

Titans follows a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe. In this action-packed series, Dick Grayson emerges from the shadows to become the leader of a fearless band of new heroes, including Starfire, Raven and many others. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever. The show will be written by Akiva Goldsman (Star Trek: Discovery, Underground), President and CCO of DC Entertainment Geoff Johns (The Flash, Arrow) and Greg Berlanti (Arrow, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, The Flash, Supergirl).

Who is Starfire?

Anna Diop’s character Starfire is described as an alien princess from a warrior planet who seeks asylum on Earth. She is a no-nonsense, take-no-prisoners stranger on our world, Starfire has the ability to shoot energy bolts and fly. In 1980, Starfire was first introduced to DC Comic fans, and now she is coming to life.

Anna Diop has been in numerous projects like 24: Legacy, The Messengers, Something About He, and the popular TV series Greenleaf.
