Underworld: Next Generation Gets Girl Power Director Anna Foerster

We Can’t wait for another Vampire and Lycan horror film as Director Anna Foerster is helming the upcoming Underworld: Next Generation movie!

Find out what we’ve learned about the new Underworld: Next Generation on the flip…

Underworld: Next Generation Gets Girl Power Director Anna Foerster

CelebNMovies247.com has learned that this is the first time a woman will be directing a Underworld movie in the series!

As for, Anna Foerster, she has collaborated with Roland Emmerich on films such as White House Down and The Day After Tomorrow so we understand that Anna knows action.

With action being a main artery for Underworld: Next Generation we are looking forward to the #girlpower fueled film.

Cory Goodman wrote the action horror film and Len Wiseman will produce. Since Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is such a strong leader in the film we are curious what “woman’s perspective” she may bring to the table.

Underworld: Next Generation was filmed in Prague, Czech Republic. And thankfully, Kate Beckinsale, who has been in all the films and Theo James (Divergent series) will be back for another round to fight.

The film follows Selene (Beckinsale) and Corvin’s (Scott Speedman) hybrid daughter, Eve. The story line is ongoing, but will provide us with new young vampires and werewolves.

Other stars include Lara Pulver as Sherlock, Tobias Menzies (Rome), Charles Dance, Bradley James, Daisy Head, Clementine Nicholson and Peeter Andersson.

We have heard some rumors that there will be an Underworld 6 that would center on Theo James. We will have to see what the future holds.

Collider reports:

There had been some concern reported by Lawyer Herald about Kate Beckinsale agreeing to continue filming due to her break-up with her long-time husband, director Len Wiseman. She decided to continue filming and has been spotted around LA on her own without a ring. We have learned that for the well-being of the children, they have remained amicable.

At the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour, Wiseman confirmed with Collider that he was still developing a TV series. It’s a franchise that has characters that relate well for television. It involves a myth of supernatural politics which can be a TV series success, but Kate Beckinsale has “big shoes” to fill. It will be interesting to see whom they would choose as her character as her dynamic and on-screen premise are so captivating.

Being Underworld fans, we at Celebnmovies247.com look forward to the Underworld; The Generation hitting theaters on October 21, 2016.
