Valerian final trailer has a brand new trailer out and we have your first look at it…
The Valerian final trailer is full of extraordinary visuals, amazing graphics and visual flair. STX Entertainment dropped the final trailer for Valerian today, just a couple of months away from the films July 21 release date.
Valerian looks gorgeous and visually stunning. It is filled with a bunch of expensive-looking CGI. This time, the final trailer, is all about the visuals, keeping the storyline more of a mystery. If it’s like The Fifth Element we can expect a lot of stylized scenes, sic fashions and one-liners. Will it translate and win the love of fans like The Fifth Element, we are hoping so.
What we got from the new trailer is that Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Laureline (Cara Delevingne) are on some kind of mission and that they have 10 hours to do it.
The movie will center on Valerian and Laureline, who are special operatives for the government of the human territories charged with maintaining order throughout the universe. Valerian has a romantic interest in Laureline, but his history with women, and her traditional values cause her to continuously refuse him. Under orders from their commander (Clive Owen), the pair must take on a mission to the intergalactic city of Alpha, who’s seventeen million inhabitants have come together over time, uniting their talents, technology and resources for the betterment of all. Unfortunately, not everyone in the city shares those same views, which leads to some unknown forces threatening the city and placing everyone in grave danger.
Comic book movies are as popular as ever now, and this movie is based on a very famous and influential comic called Valerian and Laureline. This movie carries a HUGE price tag of $200 million, which is a huge risk, since both actors are still not huge names.
Valerian will be going up against Christopher Nolan’s WWII epic Dunkirk, and War for the Planet of the Apes.
We hope it’s a HUGE hit but with a $200k price tag, the studio will need to pull in that in the opening weekend to call the movie a success. #CrossingFinger
