Get the inside details of what we are hearing about the upcoming Deadpool 2 movie on the flip…
Producers of the new 20th Century Fox superhero movie, starring Ryan Reynolds, tried to re-create for the upcoming tent pole, but with the first installment of Deadpool 20th Century Fox said you won’t see this masked hero sharing a bed with another man.
Now that the first film is a hit, it seems the sky is the limit for the anti-hero. Things can change and Ryan Reynolds said he’s aware that Deadpool identifies as pansexual.
“I love that about Deadpool.”
“I love that he can break any boundary. In the future, I hope we get to do that more,” he said, alluding to his character’s monogamous relationship with a woman (“Gotham” star Morena Baccarin).”
Reynolds added that he thought it would be “nice” for Deadpool to have a boyfriend at some point.
“I certainly wouldn’t be the guy standing in the way of that…That would be great.”
It was revealed in Variety that there are clues in “Deadpool” that its hero is just as interested in men as he is in women, but they are often handled with a wink rather than occupying a major plot line. Early in the movie, Deadpool suggests a mock fling with Wolverine and seems open to sexual experimentation during a sex montage (although the only partner in the scene is his girlfriend).
And while Variety is reporting the fact that Ryan Reynold’s is open to playing an equal opportunist anti-hero we have been hearing some inside chatter that had this to say about the possibilities of Deadpool having a boyfriend in the sequel.
“Ryan Reynolds apparently wants to have a boyfriend in the sequel, and the directors did not deny it as a possibly, commenting that it was entirely possible and even plausible considering the characters sexual fluidity. What would happen to Vanessa plot line for this to happen, and who would make a good love interest?”
Another insider said:
“I think though they will go with him more to the gay side in this to bring in audience to replace the ones that saw the first ones by just getting conned into it. That star trek guy that was in “Kingsman” is supposed to be gay in the next star trek. Maybe bring him into this sequel also. Like have a love triangle type movie.”
While another source had this to say about the potential of Wade Wilson having a boyfriend and still being a badass.
“A guy has no less potential to be a badass just because he has a boyfriend. Given the small amount of pro athletes gradually coming out and the statistical likelihood that there are tons of gay and bi men on police forces, in armies, fighting in the UFC, and participating in any other badass activity or job you can think of…many if not most of them with boyfriends (or lots of male f-ck-buddies and/or constant same-sex hook-ups)…yes, dudes with boyfriends can be badasses, regardless of how some of the straight population may perceive them due to lack of interaction, lack of knowledge, or good old-fashioned bigotry & stereotyping.”
