The decision to FIRE Mitchell was made after “producers had received information about the alleged off-set incident.” After an investigation, he was released from “The Chi” which was renewed for a 3rd season.

Mitchell’s co-star on The Chi, Tiffany Boone who plays his girlfriend on the show is one of several actresses who reported issues with the actor. In fact, Boone said she felt “unsafe” with the actor, to the point that she often had her fiancè Marque Richardson on the set during the filming of their scenes. – The Hollywood Reporter
Mitchell, 32, was considered one of Hollywood’s rising stars and now, his career is basically over.
If you recall, Jason was arrested in August 2016 after an 18-year-old woman accused him of slamming her to the ground, sending her to the hospital. As of now, Jason has not commented on the situation or the allegations posed against him.
