But we’ve just received word that should be a new character expansion in this film. The upcoming X-Men film involves the light-emitting, pop star mutant Dazzler. In fact, we’re hearing that the producers may have found an actress to play her.
Omega Underground says that actress Halston Sage (Paper Towns) has been cast in the role. Omega Underground points out that Sage was recently seen with the movie’s cast backstage at a Hans Zimmer concert in Montreal (where Dark Phoenix has been filming). Sage was spotted hanging out with her Scouts Guide co-star Tye Sheridan (who plays young Cyclops in the X-films).
The B.P.R.D. aka The Bureau For Paranormal Research and Defense will fight the creatures that go bump in the night once again in Neil Marshall‘s Hellboy reboot. This time around the B.P.R.D. will be going up against the Blood Queen (Milla Jovovich).
The B.P.R.D. aka reds team will consist of Abe Sapien, Alice Monaghan, and Major Ben Daimio. New addition to the film is Alice Monaghan. Sasha Lane, who won critical raves for her breakthrough performance in Andrea Arnold’s American Honey, has been cast in the part. This time around Hellboy is taking the Deadpool rating system since it’s expected to be a bit bloody. Marshall’s vision for the film, which co-stars Ian McShane as Professor Broom, is R-rated.
Principal photography beginning in a month, we’ll know who’s playing who soon.
Nosferatu will reunite Anya Taylor-Joy and director Robert Eggers who broke out into the horror scene with The Witch. Eggers has been attached to the project since 2015, signing on to helm the remake of F.W. Murnau’s revolutionary 1922 classic silent film shortly after The Witch made waves at its Sundance Festival debut.
Deadline described Eggers’ vision as “a visceral adaptation of F.W. Murnau’s 1922 silent film masterpiece that brings the horrific vampire of Eastern European folklore back to the screen.”
