CelebnMovies247.com reports that Neve Campbell and ‘Ready or Not’ filmmakers Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett have come to an agreement for Neve to return as Sidney Prescott.

The tripod is complete now that Neve Campbell will be teaming back together with Courtney Cox, and David Arquette as the fan-favorite trio who helps solve the who are the murders franchise.

Campbell is said to be “beyond excited” to be reprising her role as Sidney Prescott.

She said in a statement:

After spending time speaking with Radio Silence, they have shown such love, respect and admiration for Wes Craven and all that he’s created in the Scream franchise. I am beyond excited to step back into the role of Sidney Prescott and return to Woodsboro.

The 46-year-old star has also taken to Instagram to make it official.

She wrote alongside a video:

‘Hello, Sidney… Remember me?’, and the film’s release date of January 14, 2022 flashing up, she wrote: ”Hello again, Sidney… #ImBack @ScreamMovies (sic)

According to Deadline, Marley Shelton will also be back as Deputy Judy Hicks.

And ’13 Reasons Why’ star Dylan Minnette leads the younger cast members, along with Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Kyle Gallner and Jasmin Savoy Brown.

The latest additions to the reboot come after it was revealed the flick will see David Arquette (Sheriff Dewey Riley) reunite with his ex-wife Courteney Cox as Riley’s on-screen partner Gale Weathers.

He was the first to confirm his return over the summer afterword was announced a fifth installment was in the works.

Arquette recently explained:

I just want to be true to the characters, that’s all that really matters to me.

True to Wes’ vision and (writer) Kevin (Williamson’s) vision. The filmmakers were fans of the original and it really inspired them. So it’s great to see that. I mean, the more I’ve been in this business and where I’m at now, whenever you can combine something you love… there’s something magical that happens.

And these guys have that sort of approach to horror films. They love the original series, and I think they want to do it justice.
