4. The Crow Remake is Officially DEAD!

After so many attempts to make this film, the studio has finally read the writing on the wall and that was to DEAD any and ALL attempts to remake this movie.

After a long period of gestation and behind the scenes issues, Sony Pictures has shelved their long-delayed The Crow reboot for October 11, 2019.

Now that Hardy and Momoa both gone, this would send the project back to square one, which could mean another few years of development. Basically, the movie is DEAD, unless they decide to go with a female Crow to give the movie a whole new life. We will see, Hollywood doesn’t seem to have much creativity these days. They love to regurgitate the same old stuff.

We miss you Brandon, the only great Crow!

4 Major Movie Announcements This Week2. Scarlett Johansson DROPS out of Rub & Tug Due to LGBTQ Criticism:

The future of the Rub & Tug movie is in doubt. Scarlett Johansson had initially been cast to play Dante “Tex” Gill, a massage parlor owner who was a major part of the Pittsburgh crime scene in the 1970s and 80s.

The actress dropped out of playing Gill resulting in the backlash. Her casting subject to a lot of criticism from those in the trans and larger LGBTQ community. Now it appears the movie may not be happening at all.

Johansson had this to say in a statement to Out Magazine:

While I would have loved the opportunity to bring Dante’s story and transition to life, I understand why many feel he should be portrayed by a transgender person, and I am thankful that this casting debate, albeit controversial, has sparked a larger conversation about diversity and representation in film. I have great admiration and love for the trans community and am grateful that the conversation regarding inclusivity in Hollywood continues.

1. Dwayne Johnson is OFFICIALLY The Highest Paid Actor in History:

Sorry, Tom Cruise, Vin Diesel, Bruce Willis, and Arnold Schwarzenegger it’s The Rocks time!

Dwayne Johnson is now OFFICIALLY the highest paid actor in history. According to Forbes, the wrestler turned international movie star brought in a brain-melting $124 million last year.

Here is what Dwayne Johnson had to say:

I work extremely hard but never anticipated (in my wildest dreams) I’d become the highest paid actor in Forbes’ history. I don’t have a Harvard MBA, but my business philosophy and acumen has been sharpened over time and thru failure. My goal when I was wrestling in flea markets for $40bucks per match (well before the bright lights of the @wwe) is still the exact same goal I have today, always put my audience first. I have one boss, the world. Send you home happy, and I’ve done my job. I’m the dude who started w/ $7bucks. I’m grateful to the bone and hungry to the core. #MakingForbesHistory #AudienceFirstPhilosophy #FleaMarketDreams #HardestWorkerInTheRoom
