Wow, this is rather harsh,  but Harvey Weinstein reportedly told model Cara Delevingne that she will “never make it as a gay woman” and to get a “beard” aka a man to act as her boyfriend.

The problem is Cara Delevingne is out an proud, so its a bit too late for her to pretend like other actors and actresses have in the past. That is how Hollywood has always been and will continue. Plenty of talented people have beards but behind the scenes, they are gay like others in the LGBTQ community. Delevingne said:

One of the first things Harvey Weinstein ever said to me was…You will never make it in this industry as a gay woman — get a beard

According to the model, while auditioning for Weinstein’s project, he would list the names of famous actresses that he had bedded

She explained her feelings:

I just thought: This is insane.

Delevingne was one of the many actresses who stepped forward to allege that the film exec had molested them, claiming that he tried to force her to kiss another actress in front of him.

Delevingne said at the time:

She added:

I swiftly got up and asked him if he knew that I could sing. And I began to sing…I thought it would make the situation better… more professional, like an audition. I was so nervous.
