It’s been a minute since we sat down with Adam McKay, but he has been seriously busy with a series of movies. Now that Vice is a wrap, he can continue on with his next film, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2.
This is director Adam McKay’s first film since the Oscar-winning The Big Short in 2015. Vice was first announced in 2016, when Paramount had the rights. It would later move to Annapurna Pictures. Vice previously went by the working title Backseat. Prior to production starting in September 2017. Vice stars Amy Adams, Alison Pill, Christian Bale as Dick Cheney, Steve Carell, Sam Rockwell, and Jesse Plemons.
The film is Produced by Adam McKay, Brad Pitt, Will Ferrell, Dede Gardner, and Jeremy Kleiner. The budget for Vice is 40 million.
Synopsis:
The story of Dick Cheney, the most powerful Vice President in history, and how his policies changed the world as we know it.
The movie is set to hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
