Could this be a bad sign for MCU fans and Doctor Strange? According to Benedict Cumberbatch, the actor hopes to get the chance to continue as Doctor Strange in the MCU.
Read on to see what new reveal Benedict Cumberbatch just spilled about Doctor Strange…
CelebNMovies247.com has received word via Benedict Cumberbatch, who has gone on record saying that he had a great time playing Doctor Strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Benedict Cumberbatch has to-date had quite the career thus far from playing Sherlock Holmes on the BBC, playing Kahn in Star Trek: Into Darkness to Doctor Strange in the MCU.
Does this mean Doctor Strange died in Avengers: Infinity War?
Like Dwayne Johnson, Cumberbatch stays busy as an actor since he is in high demand. In fact, he’s had to turn down making more series of ‘Sherlock’ in favor of giving his all to Hollywood.
What does this mean for his return as Doctor Strange in the MCU?
Benedict Cumberbatch had this to say about playing Doctor Strange into the far future:
Oh, Strange? Just try to stop me. That’s all kind of lined up as far as I’m aware, but who knows? I mean, you know, the problem is, how does he get out of where he’s at. But that’s the only thing. I’m bits of dust at the moment as far as I understand. So you really have to ask (Marvel Studios president) Kevin Feige. But as far as wanting to do it, yeah, I would love to go back into that role.
He embellishes on Strange being “bits of dust” right now. Right now, fans are 99.9% certain this is something that will be reversed in ‘Avengers 4’. No official plot details have been given just yet, but when the movie makes its debut in 2019, there will likely be some jiggling with time and space that will see Strange and his fellow heroes return from the dead, in one last struggle against Thanos.
We hope to see Doctor Strange return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but if you look at his IMDB there are no signs of a Dr. Stephen Strange returning to the big screen just yet.
