CelebNMovies247.com has learned that the Transformers franchise prequel is said to lead to a new direction for the series.

Well, Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, one of the producers behind the series is shedding some light on the rumors.

Di Bonaventura revealed that two potential new films are in development, one of which might feature Optimus and Bumblebee teaming up.

The producer told Japanese website Cinema:

We are already working on two projects and both have scripts under development.

He adds:

One is the latest in the main family series following the events of Transformers: The Last Knight and the other is a sequel to Bumblebee. So, we are thinking of films where Optimus Prime and Bumblebee will be the buddies.

From there they will have to tie in “how human beings get involved in their drama.”

It should be interesting to watch unravel as the story of the two autobots will be told and how they forge such a great bond. Maybe with both films in the writing stages they can tie in Transformers The Last Knight and the follow up film Bumblebee and Optimus Prime.
