Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One arrives in theaters next week, but not without some SHADE by Lego Movie 2 co-writer Chris Miller.

CelebNMovies247.com has the latest tea spilling on Chris Miller, the guy who was notoriously fired from co-directing Solo, plugged his new movie while SHADING Ready Player One!

Chris Miller poked some fun at the characters from different franchises teaming up in the new movie based on Ernest Cline’s novel. Some feel [Chris Miller] that Ready Player One there was too much nostalgia and too many properties into the promotional campaign. Now, that Rotten Tomatoes and other have given RPO 100% positive reviews, the criticisms have slowly started to quiet down.

The LEGO Movie 2 writer, Chris Miller took to social media to remind everybody that Ready Player One isn’t the only movie on the horizon that contains different franchises and properties rolled into one movie.

He writes on social media:

There’s a certain movie coming out w/ a bunch of famous characters from different movies & TV shows & games that all interact in the same shared universe, and let me tell you, it is awesome. Yep, the LEGO Movie 2 is coming this February.

The SHADE is REAL. But some believe that despite coming off like a bitter Betty, it appears he’s using Ready Player One for some free press for his LEGO Movie 2.
