Christopher Lloyd Joins The Mandalorian Season 3!
This is HUGE and Awesome all at the same time. The Mandalorian season 3 has just gotten even better since it was revealed on Friday that Christopher Lloyd has just boarded the cast of the third season of the hit Star Wars series…
CelebnMovies247.com reports that Lloyd is said to be on the call sheet for The Mandalorian, with the show currently shooting episodes for season 3 in California.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher Lloyd’s role will reportedly be for a guest spot, but no details about his character have been revealed.
Likewise, there’s a lot we still don’t know about the third season of The Mandalorian. We do know that Pedro Pascal is expected to return in the lead role with other returning cast members, including Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito.
Christopher Lloyd is the first announced guest star for season 3, though adding notable names to the series in this way is nothing new, considering the inclusion of Michel Biehn in season 2.
Lloyd is probably best known for his iconic role as Doc Brown in Back to the Future and its sequels. He has also voiced the character for an official video game and other animated projects. The veteran actor has yet to appear in the Star Wars universe, though he did have a memorable role as the Klingon Commander Kruge in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. More recently, Lloyd appeared in multiple films over the past year, including appearing with Bob Odenkirk in Nobody and Ben Affleck in The Tender Bar.
Lucasfilm has not yet offered an official comment on Lloyd’s casting in The Mandalorian.
Lloyd posted a subtle hint earlier in the month:
