If you were wondering what was up with X-Force, we just received word that it will be just as insane as Deadpool 2.
We previously told you X-Force was in the works, but now we have word that Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Drew Godard are starting on the project.
Currently, Drew Godard is wrapping up on Bad Times at the El Royale, which hits theaters on October 5th.
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds has indicated that the storyline for the movie has been fleshed out, but there is no script yet. That is what Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. Drew Godard will start work on.
It’s also been reported by MovieWeb that Reese and Wernick are looking forward to working with Drew Godard to make an R-rated “raunchier X-Men movie.”
Deadpool 2 writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick were recently asked about the tone of X-Force.
Here is what Reese had to say about the upcoming X-Force movie:
I think the fun part of X-Force is they’re much more morally flexible than the X-Men. They can get their hands dirty a little bit. There’s more grey area. It’ll be raunchier, it’ll be rated R, I’m sure. We’ll get to see an ensemble movie that’s pushed, hopefully, as far as the Deadpool individual movie was pushed.
What do you think? Are you looking forward to X-Force?
We wonder if the movie will have more cameos like Matt Damon and Brad Pitt, especially since it has knocked Avengers out of no. 1 in the box office.
