The Conjuring’s Patrick Wilson has been teasing the return of the Warrens to be the next two movies of The Conjuring universe.

Now, Aquaman star Patrick Wilson reveals that he will reprise his role as Ed Warren, alongside Vera Farmiga‘s Lorraine Warren, in next year’s Annabelle 3. Read on…

CelebNMovies247.com reports that The Warrens will return in Annabelle 3, which takes place after the Warrens have brought the terrifying doll to their museum of cursed objects.

Annabelle 3 will also be a bridge to bring back The Conjuring 3.  Wilson recently spoke to Digital Spy for the release of Aquaman, and this is what he said about the Conjuring Universe.

Patrick Wilson teased:

Oh boy. We just finished Annabelle 3 which is cool. It’s nice to dip our toes into that franchise a little bit. Conjuring 3 will be different than anything we’ve seen, which is fun.

What we got from his tidbit is that Annabelle 3 will focus more on the evil doings that the doll and the Warrens.

This time around James Wan will produce the next installments since he was ready to do something other than horror movies.

I’m always constantly trying to find stuff that would challenge me as a filmmaker and I don’t linger in that one space for too long. Even though I’ve done a bunch of horror movies, all my horror movies are slightly different from each other.
