Fast & Furious 10 Fulfills “Promise” To Paul Walker!

Now that the Fast & Furious 9 is taking over the Fast & Furious 10 slot in 2021, both films have been pushed back a year.

CelebNMovies247.com reports that Dom Toretto star Vin Diesel recalled an interview he did with Walker shortly before his death about how many more movies there could be.

Vin Diesel revealed that Paul Walker asked him how many more movies he thought there would be in the Fast franchise?

Diesel replied to Walker saying:

The question is, is it seven, eight, nine, or seven, eight, nine, 10? And I remember this giant smile on his face like, ‘What?! That’s impossible!

It’s been seven years since Paul Walker sadly passed away in a car crash in 2013, but Vin and Walker were close on and off screen and now he’s keeping a “promise.”

Diesel explained to USA Today:

[Paul] was always tickled by the fact that we were continuing. He was always so excited and so proud that his brother was thinking of these films before the studio, before anyone knew that there was another one coming and another one coming and that the stories had been worked out for him. He took great pride in that.

But fans of the Fast & Furious franchise will have to wait another year now. Due to the coronavirus pandemic the ninth movie in the franchise has been pushed back until April 2021.

It’s become clear that it won’t be possible for all of our fans around the world to see the film this May.

While we know there is disappointment in having to wait a little while longer, this move is made with the safety of everyone as our foremost consideration.

Moving will allow our global family to experience our new chapter together. We’ll see you next spring.

Fast & Furious 9 will be released in April 2021.
