When it comes to the upcoming Black Panther 2 movie it’s possible that T’Challa’s sister Shuri (Letitia Wright) could become the MCU’s official Black Panther in the sequel.
According to reports the upcoming Black Panther 2 movie Shuri could take on the position of Black Panther as a right of passage. Read on for more details on female Black Panther possibilities…
CelebNMovies247.com is hearing that at some point in the future of the franchise, T’Challa will choose to focus on his royal duties rather than superhero work.
This could happen in either the upcoming sequel or possibly in the third installment (it hasn’t been decided yet) and would leave the position of Wakanda’s Black Panther open. The tea comes from WGTC sources who said that the real Mandarin would be the villain in Shang-Chi and that Marvel was rebooting the Inhumans, both of which we now know to be true.
Of course, Shuri has already proven herself a capable warrior many times over and having her take over the mantle would also follow the character arc of Marvel Comics’ Shuri. This would also follow the more female-driven MCU goals in the future as well. Let’s not forget that Shuri wanted to become the first female Black Panther.
Like we said Chadwick Boseman as Black Panther will more than likely see another 2 films. And the introduction of Shuri seems more plausible to happen in the third film in some way. Furthermore, it may be smarter to wait to do this until the third movie.
We will see…
