G.I. Joe: Snake Eyes Spinoff Gets Director & Release DateCelebNMovies247.com has the latest on Paramount and Allspark Pictures first G.I. Joe spinoff movie, Snake Eyes.

Paramount and Allspark Pictures Hasbro Universe is set to have a crossover a variety of popular Hasbro products on the big screen; such as the G.I. Joe spinoff movie, Snake Eyes.

The upcoming Bumblebee movie is potentially launching the universe. And so far, things look to be on track since reviews are coming in and their positive.

The Hollywood Reports review of Bumblebee is positive. They are saying that the film serves as a prequel to the previous installments dating back to 2007, Bumblebee also represents an imaginative spinoff from the original films, providing an extended account of the fan-favorite character’s origins. As the first pic in the series that isn’t directed by Michael Bay (who instead serves as an executive producer), Bumblebee also offers a significant change-up for the typically male-dominated franchise, centering on a teen girl as the movie’s protagonist.

As for, the first G.I. Joe spinoff movie, Snake Eyes, will serve as a reintroduction to the franchise instead of making a G.I. Joe 3.

In fact, Evan Spiliotopoulos (Beauty and the Beast) was hired to write the script, and it appears the studios are happy with his work as Snake Eyes has received plenty of new, positive information.

The Wrap reports that Snake Eyes apparently has just landed itself a director, Robert Schwentke, who is finalizing a deal to direct.

Schwentke most recently directed The Captain but has experience in bigger budget films with Insurgent and Allegiant.

Paramount and Allspark Pictures have given the spinoff a March 27, 2020 release date.
