What is going on with Marvel’s upcoming Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 and James Gunn?
We just got some crazy news that director James Gunn the genius behind Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 just got FIRED from the project.
Continue on to find out the details why James Gunn FIRED from Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3…
CelebNMovies247.com has some beaking Marvel news about James Gunn being FIRED from Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3 and now we’re a bit worried.
During today’s San Diego Comic-Con we just learned some shocking news that none of Marvel’s fanbase is going to like.
Disney has severed all ties with James Gunn following the recent resurfacing of a collection of tweets he wrote several years ago in which he made jokes regarding some very unfunny topics.
Just yesterday, Gunn took to social media apologizing for his unfunny Tweet’s but as the old saying goes, Gunn was “Too late with his apology,” because Disney was NOT hearing it!
Gunn apologized late Thursday after a series of old (now deleted) tweets resurfaced. James admitted the Tweets were “offensive” jokes about rape and pedophilia.
Gunn wrote in a series of meaningful tweets:
Many people who have followed my career know when I started, I viewed myself as a provocateur, making movies and telling jokes that were outrageous and taboo. As I have discussed publicly many times, as I’ve developed as a person, so has my work and my humor.
The only problem is that the tweets came “Too Late!”
If he knew he was wrong, why not apologize for removing them back when he made the jokes? Most people do post/deletes to save their @ss online and then deny, deny, deny…
CenemaBlend raises one serious question:
James Gunn had already submitted the first draft of the script to Marvel. Therefore, the first question becomes, what happens to this script? Does Disney’s decision to cut ties with Gunn mean that they won’t use the script that’s already been completed?
He gave one fan an update on Twitter, but now this Tweet is meaningless:
Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn released an official statement [via HR] announcing that Walt Disney Company cutting ties with the filmmaker:
The offensive attitudes and statements discovered on James’ Twitter feed are indefensible and inconsistent with our studio’s values, and we have severed our business relationship with him.
Now, what, Gunn knows the characters and has such a detailed visual on what is set to happen next, this could seriously jeopardize Guardians success.
Disney NEEDS to get over it and realize that was in the past and leave it there. #SMH
