Despite being nominated for a Razzie for Worst Actress, Jennifer Lawrence stands by her 2017 movie Mother!

Jennifer Lawrence had this to say to Marc Macron’s podcast about the film Mother!:

She said:

“I love it, I think it’s brilliant. I’m surprised they opened it as big as they did. Arthouse release [might have been better]. But I think its the closest thing to perfect I’ve ever seen. The film has its own language. I really love it, I’m proud of it.”

Lawrence humorously added:

“Coming from Razzie-nominated Jennifer Lawrence…”

When Macron asked her about being nominated for a Razzie, she had this say:

“I get nominated for a Razzie for Worst Actress. It’s OK! Jack Nicholson got nominated for a Razzie The Shining, so I feel okay.”

Bottom line, some of the most talented people get nominated for Razzies. They can’t help final cut of a film ruining the pace and integrity of a film once it hits the theater. Actors to their best and movies are a collaborative work. So what if you get a Razzie, take it in pride. However, some films deserve Razzies more than others, and if we had to say the actual REAL worst movies of 2017, they are Emoji movie and Madea Boo 2 – those films are utter garbage! Complete waste of time money, and film.
