Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are two of Hollywood’s most popular leading men and getting them to lock in a date to film Jumanji 3 seems a bit difficult.
Director Jake Kasdan has now said Sony Pictures will be creating a third version of the popular movie and he’s already planning the date. Read on for more details on Jumanji 3…
CelebNMovies247.com previously told our #Celebies that The Rock confirmed that Jumanji 3 was on its way after hearing the pitch for the third installment.
Jake Kasdan is set to begin filming early next year.
He revealed:
The idea is to make the movie at the beginning of the year if we can get it all worked out.
He added to Collider:
Part of the challenge of figuring out how [the emotional center of the film] continues is to keep that alive in ways that feel earned … like a true kind of continuation in this story.
That will be left up to the creative minds behind the pens – ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ screenwriters Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner are also on board to pen the screenplay for the third movie.
According to Kasdan, it is unclear where they will take the story, and so it is unknown whether the current cast – which alongside Dwayne also included Jack Black, Karen Gillan, and Kevin Hart – will be returning to the franchise for the next installment.
We find that interesting since Dwayne Johnson joked about Kevin Hart dying in the film within the first 5 minutes. We are hoping that is in the game, like the first film where Jack Black’s character is eating by a hippo.
We hope they all come back in part two, that there is the heart of the film. Maybe it’s a rescue mission this time around?
