CelebNMovies247.com has learned via Deadline, who confirms that Margot Robbie is officially in negotiations.
Previously, Tarantino described the film as “a story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood.”
The Kill Bill director is currently trying to sign Margot Robbie to the film. He also adds that Pitt will play DiCaprio’s longtime stunt double, Cliff Booth.
He reveals:
“Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbor…Sharon Tate.”
Tate was murdered by members of the Manson Family in August 1969. It’s been reported multiple times that Tarantino wants Margot Robbie, so this is great if she says yes.
Tarantino recently had this to say about the filming the upcoming project:
“I’ve been working on this script for five years, as well as living in Los Angeles County most of my life, including in 1969, when I was 7 years old…I’m very excited to tell this story of an L.A., and a Hollywood that don’t exist anymore. And I couldn’t be happier about the dynamic teaming of DiCaprio & Pitt as Rick & Cliff.”
Quinton is currently has these films slated for production Untitled Star Trek Project, and Kill Bill: Vol. 3.
