As we said, Jason Mitchell’s career is officially DEAD! Now, the actor nomination for Best Performance in a Show for his role on “The Chi” has been pulled from the list.
Things continue to get worse for the once-rising star Jason Mitchell. Read on since MTV Movie Awards pull Jason Mitchell nomination off the list of names…
CelebNMovies247.com reports that Jason Mitchell basically did this to himself. His inappropriate behavior on the set of “The Chi” has caused a snowball effect and everyone is steering clear of him.
The once beloved actor Jason Mitchell is now unbookable.
According to reports Jason’s inappropriate nature carried over to his Netflix film Desperados where he was FIRED from as well. Mitchell has also been let go by both his manager and agent, and now MTV pulled him from their Movie & TV Awards nominations list.
Mitchell was nominated for his role as Brandon on The Chi for the award ceremony’s Best Performance in a Show category. The Chi star was up against Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale), Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin), and Kiernan Shipka (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina).
The actor has basically killed his own career since multiple women, including The Chi actress Tiffany Boone, have accused him of inappropriate behavior on set.
A rep for the network told Variety:
In light of recent developments, we have removed Jason Mitchell as a nominee.
The Chi’s season two showrunner Ayanna Floyd spoke out about Mitchell’s behavior saying that the show’s creator and executive producer, Lena Waithe, was well aware of Mitchell’s alleged behavior.
She revealed:
Ultimately, everyone was well aware of Jason’s behavior and his multiple HR cases, including Lena, the creator and an executive producer of the show, who is very involved at the studio and network level.
We are sorry to hear that because Jason had such a promising career ahead of himself.
